In 2024, Time Out (magazine) ranked Lagos as the 19th Best City to visit in the World. It has the fourth highest GDP in Africa, and houses one of the largest and busiest seaports on the continent.

In Lagos, you can rent a car from Avis or Sixth to move around easily. Car rental services usually charge a daily fee, and you can decide to include a private driver or drive yourself.

Lagos city has over 21 million people, so there is traffic during rush hours. Use alternative routes and avoid peak traffic time to beat the traffic.
Safety Tips
If you use an Uber or Taxify, always share your ride information and location with someone and monitor your trip via google maps.

When using taxi apps such as Uber or Taxify ensure the license plate and vehicle model on the app is the same as the vehicle you enter.
When in a taxi always sit in the back instead of the passenger’s seat, preferably behind the driver.

The Centre has a diverse collection of art by several renowned local and international artists, celebrating Nigeria's talent and offering visitors an insight into all cultures of Nigeria through the medium of art. It can take up to a full day to discover all the Nike Art Centre has to offer.
